FactoidThis work from Fauré's Dolly Suite is the Allegretto Moderato. It was written to mark Fauré's mistresses child Dolly's first birthday in 1864. In 1893 Fauré made some small amendments and changed its title from "La Chanson dans le jardin" to "Berceuse" - which means cradle song.
